Master Bedroom

Master Bedroom Ideas

I have updated several rooms in my home. One that was lacking attention was our master bedroom. After recently completing the fireplace makeover I realized how much I enjoyed having a space to just sit and relax that was also beautiful. I did not have a large budget for this project so I knew I needed to get creative if I was going to transfer the space with mostly paint. I had to work with the furniture I had and I was able to update our old nightstands into these cute new fluted night stands

Master Bedroom Design

I wanted my bedroom to feel cozy and timeless. I love to incorporate texture and pattern in a very unique way that you almost don’t even notice it’s happening. I thought a DIY grass cloth feature wall would be an easy way to do that. I love a good crisp white space but I really love to incorporate color. I knew I wanted something unique and different so I went for this green

Master Bedroom Furniture

Our bed is an old magnolia bed I purchased five years ago. The nightstands I updated using dowel rods and a fresh coat of paint. I found similar ones here for you. I wanted the lighting feature to be unique so I decided to hang them from the ceiling. I wanted to schoolhouse style light but I could not find one that was affordable. Here’s one I loved on wayfare.com. I made a dupe of it using an old school house dome and a light kit from Home Depot.

Master Bedroom Decor

I was recently able to partner with Camden creations and design a beautiful piece for above the nightstands. This one is called whispering Pines. If you’d like to check out the other pieces we curated you can find them here. I love texture and art. So it was important to me to incorporate some movement within the art pieces. I had a scrap piece of runner from the stair makeover so I placed it in this frame and hung in above the whispering Pines piece.

Bedroom Makeover

Overall I’m so happy how old the room turned out with the minimal budget I had. It does not have to cost you a lot of money to update a space and make it fresh again. Sometimes you just need to put in a little elbow grease and get those creative ideas moving.
